What you'll be doing as a Science Graduate
- Conduct in-process checks and manufacturing line clearance to support compliance with statutory, internal quality and regulatory standards for existing and new products.
- QC testing of raw materials and finished goods using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, HPLC)
- Monitor and analyse production processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and troubleshoot using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Support process optimisation, plant trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis
- Record and document test results in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the integrity of laboratory data
- Provide support to the laboratory team, including assisting with data entry, report writing, and stakeholder communication
What we're looking for
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, such as chemistry, biology, or environmental science or Cert IV in Lab Operations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with accuracy
- Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including analytical balances, pH meters, HPLC
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the wider laboratory team
- A keen interest in the chemical manufacturing industry and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
