Digital Marketer opportunity at IT Basecamp: what if the next step in your marketing career wasn't joining a bigger team, but helping build one?
Let's be honest. This Digital Marketer role isn't for someone who wants to inherit a polished marketing machine.
We're not handing you a mature marketing department, a huge advertising budget, or a team of specialists. What we are offering is something much harder to find: ownership, influence and the opportunity to shape what comes next.
As a Digital Marketer at IT Basecamp, you'll take an established client portfolio, help it grow and play a leading role in building a digital marketing service that becomes well known and respected across the Shoalhaven and the NSW South Coast.
This is an opportunity to build your digital marketing career with a regional technology business where your ideas, decisions and results will have a visible impact. You'll be able to help shape campaigns, strengthen client relationships and contribute directly to the growth of IT Basecamp's digital marketing capability.
If the idea of helping build something, rather than simply inheriting it, sounds exciting, keep reading.
The Digital Marketer we're looking for isn't really just a marketer.
You're the person who gets curious. The person who keeps asking questions after everyone else has nodded and moved on. The person who can sit with a technical specialist, listen to them explain something complicated, and walk away knowing exactly how to communicate its value to a customer.
That's important because one of the biggest opportunities you'll tackle as a Digital Marketer at IT Basecamp is turning technical expertise into marketing people can understand.
IT Basecamp helps businesses across Australia with IT support, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, web development, hosting, digital marketing and a range of technology services. Our team understands this technology deeply. Our customers don't always need the technical detail. They need to understand what it means for their business.
Some clients have virtually no IT knowledge. Others have internal IT teams and are looking for strategic advice. Your challenge will be translating complex technical knowledge into clear, compelling digital marketing that helps business owners understand the problem, the solution and why it matters.
And that's where you'll shine.
A major part of your Digital Marketer role will be managing an established portfolio of digital marketing clients.
These are predominantly small regional businesses that rely on IT Basecamp to improve their online visibility, generate leads and grow their customer base. You'll work across SEO, content, digital advertising, campaign reporting and client relationships while helping clients understand what is working and where the next opportunity sits.
These aren't faceless accounts.
They're businesses run by real people who value having a trusted marketing adviser in their corner. You'll inherit those relationships, continue improving outcomes and help grow the digital marketing portfolio over time.
But that's only half the opportunity.
IT Basecamp is full of people with specialist knowledge across technology, cybersecurity, cloud services, websites, hosting and digital solutions.
Your job as a Digital Marketer is to uncover that expertise and turn it into marketing that customers actually understand.
You'll spend time with the IT Basecamp team asking questions, digging deeper, understanding customer problems and uncovering the insights that make the business different.
You don't need to be the technical expert.
You need to be the person who can talk to technical specialists, understand what they're saying, identify what matters to the customer and translate that knowledge into clear messaging.
You'll then turn those insights into content, campaigns and digital marketing initiatives that build awareness of IT Basecamp's IT Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud Solutions, Web Development and Digital Marketing Services.
A significant part of your week will also be dedicated to IT Basecamp's own marketing. You'll help develop strategies and execute campaigns designed to increase visibility, strengthen the brand and bring new clients into the business.
You've moved beyond the junior stage and understand how digital marketing works.
You've had enough exposure to SEO, content, analytics, advertising and client communication to confidently manage your own workload, make recommendations and take ownership of outcomes.
You might currently be:
What matters most isn't where you've worked. It's how you think.
We're looking for a Digital Marketer who:
Because growth is really what this role is about.
You'll ideally bring hands-on experience across:
Experience with WordPress, websites, hosting or technology businesses would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
More important is your ability to understand a challenge, communicate with the client, help identify the right approach and turn that strategy into marketing activity that delivers an outcome.
Working as a Digital Marketer with IT Basecamp gives you the opportunity to build a hands-on technology and marketing career from the Shoalhaven on the NSW South Coast.
You'll work with regional businesses as well as clients from further afield, while being part of a team where your ideas and decisions can have a visible impact.
For someone who wants ownership, variety, client contact and the opportunity to help build something, this role offers much more than simply joining an existing marketing machine.
If you're looking for a large corporate marketing department where every process has already been decided, this probably isn't the role for you.
But if you're ready to take ownership of a client portfolio, help grow a respected regional technology business and become the person who transforms expertise into marketing that wins customers, we'd love to hear from you.
We're not looking for someone to simply fit into a marketing machine. We're looking for a Digital Marketer who wants to help build one.
When you're ready to apply, the first stage of the recruitment process is to market yourself. We're looking forward to seeing your creativity.
