It is all possible!

Think Regional Launches Next Phase

After publicly launching in December 2023, Think Regional is progressing to its next phase.

“So far we’ve followed an evidence-based process to discover the unique employment value proposition (EPV) of the South Coast and that of our 13 featured employers to share these messages with regional career builders in order to attract and retain skilled people.” Said Think Regional Founder/Director Anna Finch.

“We’ve utilised these messages in several high performing recruitment marketing campaigns and now its time to follow the same process on an industry level.”

Think Regional has identified 6 key Industry groupings on the South Coast including:

Health/Community Services, Professional/Government/Education Services, Defence/Manufacturing, Construction/Trade, Hospitality/Tourism & Retail, Agriculture/Animal Care.

Workshops have been held with stakeholders from Health/Community Services,  Professional Services and Defence/Manufacturing industries – to uncover what makes these employment industries unique here on the South Coast and to understand what makes them appealing.

On September 27, findings were shared with those in the Health/Community Services and Professional Services via a launch at featured employer CareSouth’s Community Hub. The 3 EVP pillars of both industries was shared:

“The three things stakeholders told us they value most about the Health/Community Services industry on the South Coast are; the ability to make a difference, the vast career opportunities that exist on the South Coast and the opportunity to work for industry leaders.” Anna told the room.

“The Professional Services Industry EVP workshop revealed that stakeholders value the growing nature of this industry, the community connectedness and the genuine collaboration with other businesses.” She added.

The findings are now being launched publicly on these industry specific pages via the Think Regional website:  Thinkregional.com.au.

Isabelle Gadaleta from the Disability Trust – a participant in the EVP workshop who then attended the launch, valued the experience:

“Being a part of the Think Regional EVP workshop was an awesome experience. It was great to share ideas, ask questions, and feel truly understood. Being there at the launch, seeing everything come together, made me feel proud that our thoughts and ideas were heard. Knowing that this work will help support people build their careers right here on the South Coast is so close to my heart. It gives me hope and motivates me to keep pursuing my own passions, using my experiences to make a real difference.

This is just the beginning, says Anna:

“We have more EVP workshops and more industry pages to be launched and we’ve deliberately crafted this as an all-in-one collaborative platform because we know that skilled people often have partners and families who also need career information.” Added Anna.

The findings will be utilised as part of a skills drive to recruit to these important industries on the South Coast.

The campaign will include videos, photos and storytelling from local career builders who share what they love about working in the Health/Community Services and Professional Services Industry on the South Coast.
