Five years ago, Lauren Beaufils joined Macey Insurance Brokers as a Marketing Coordinator, bringing her expertise from various successful local businesses. At the time, Managing Director, Brendan, was overseeing the company’s marketing efforts. Lauren recalls her early days at Macey’s. “When I first joined the team, Brendan was doing marketing, so there was a handover period while I built trust with him.”
Lauren quickly established herself as an essential part of the team, spearheading marketing initiatives and building strong connections within the community. However, she has recently decided to step down from her much-loved role to pursue a new venture in a completely different field, a decision she didn’t make lightly.
“It’s been an absolutely awesome place to work. I have loved my role here. The connection and interaction with the community is fantastic,” she shared.
With Lauren’s departure, Macey Insurance Brokers is now on the lookout for their next marketing superstar to fill the role. They will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director and the broader team in executing the company’s dynamic marketing strategy. This position offers the opportunity to contribute across various marketing functions, ensuring Macey ‘s strong connection with the community continues to thrive.
Lauren highlights the importance of relationship-building in this role. “The role is all about interpersonal skills and building relationships with people inside and outside the business. It’s really important to get this right.”
The Marketing Coordinator position is now part-time, offering flexibility for individuals looking to balance multiple aspects of their lives, including their careers. “The part-time nature of the role makes it an attractive opportunity for someone who values work-life balance,” Lauren added.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this role is Macey Insurance Broker’s deep involvement in the local community. The company is proud of its sponsorships and initiatives, particularly the annual charity golf day, which has raised $120,000 for local causes to date.
Lauren believes this connection goes beyond financial support. “It’s not just about money, it’s about the time our team invests in these events that really matters.”
Lauren also attributes the company’s low turnover rate to Macey ’s welcoming, family-friendly culture. “It’s a warm and friendly environment, which is why so many of us have stayed for so long. I’m really going to miss it.”
